These terms and conditions apply to the use of Receppy ("the app"). By using the app you agree to these terms.
Receppy is intended for saving and managing your own recipes and, if you wish, sharing them with others. The app includes, among other things: adding recipes (manually, by pasting text, via a link (URL) — including recipe websites and public Instagram posts where technically possible; on Android you can use the installed web app to pick "Share to Receppy" from the system share sheet to import a link), via a photo of recipe text, or via a photo of your fridge/pantry with an AI suggestion (including requesting a new suggestion with the same photo in a simpler or more creative style) and a display of items the model recognized in the photo, searching the web for recipes and adding them via a link (URL), editing (with a warning when leaving the edit page while there are unsaved changes) and deleting, optional extra fields per recipe (including calories per serving, difficulty level, wine pairing), displaying ingredients scaled to a chosen number of servings without changing the saved recipe (if the recipe states a number of servings), searching and filtering by category and favorites (including optional voice input for the search field on the recipe overview via the browser, an expandable panel for categories on larger screens when there are too many category pills for one line, and with 0 matches in your own collection (search or category filter) a pass-through to web search with the active search or category term, and when searching with matches an extra button below the list to the same web search with that search term), sorting, favorites and star ratings, a kitchen cheat sheet next to the Preparation heading (information about terms and techniques), a shopping list (ingredient lines locally on your device and — when you are signed in — synchronized with your account so the list stays up to date across your devices; copying, sharing via your device, printing and shortcuts to searching on ah.nl, jumbo.com and plus.nl per line), cooking mode with ticking off ingredients and steps, cooking timers and reading preparation steps aloud, viewing the recipe photo at full size (your own recipe and a shared link), offline reading of previously synced own recipes (local copy in the browser; read-only without a network), a counter for the number of times a recipe has been made (visible on the overview), personal cooking statistics ("My statistics": completed recipes, cooking sessions, cooking timers, cooking streak, badges at milestones and a leaderboard position where only your own position is visible), accessibility settings (contrast, text size, dark mode), and sharing a recipe via a link (recipients can view the recipe or copy it to their account). Receppy can be used in the browser, as an installed web app (PWA) and, on iPhone and iPad, also as an iOS app via the Apple App Store. Under a separate written or explicit agreement, Receppy can offer a technical read-only connection (integration API with a secret key) for certain accounts so an agreed third party can retrieve only the recipes of those permitted accounts — not for the general public and not searchable. You use the app for personal, non-commercial use. You only share recipes via the app if you are entitled to do so (your own recipes or ones you have permission for). Regarding recipe content, allergies and health, the explanations and limitations in section 4 apply.
Recipes, texts and images you put in the app are user content. You are fully responsible for that content yourself. You may only save, import (e.g. via a link (URL), pasting or a photo) and share recipes and other content if you know you are entitled to do so — for example because it is your own recipe, because the source allows it, or because you otherwise have rights or permission.
We do not post recipes on behalf of users and are not the publisher of your content. We do not review content in advance for completeness or lawfulness. We may (temporarily) remove, restrict or terminate recipes, shared links or accounts if necessary, for example in the event of a substantiated complaint or a violation of these terms.
All recipe information in the app — whether entered by you, imported, shared, or (partly) suggested by automated means such as AI — is intended as informational and for inspiration. There is no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, currency, originality, fitness for a particular purpose (including safe preparation or consumption) or nutritional value.
Receppy provides no medical advice, no nutritional or dietary advice and no professional cooking advice. Using recipes and any display of ingredients or preparation methods is at your own risk. You are responsible for checking allergies, intolerances, religious or other dietary requirements and medical contraindications yourself; errors or omissions in ingredient lists are possible.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct or indirect damage arising from following recipes or from relying on recipe content in the app, unless mandatory law provides otherwise or there is intent or gross negligence on our part as set out elsewhere in these terms. See also section 9 (Liability).
Do you believe a recipe or other content in Receppy infringes your copyright, other intellectual property rights or personal rights? Then send a message to info@receppy.nl including at least: a clear description of the content (e.g. the URL of the share page or the title of the recipe), why you believe that content is unlawful, and your contact details.
We handle substantiated reports and remove or restrict content within reason and promptly when justified. This process is intended to limit abuse and unnecessary disputes; it does not replace legal proceedings where necessary.
An account is required to use the app. You keep your login details secret and report misuse. We may suspend or terminate accounts in the event of a violation of these terms or misuse. You can have your account deleted by sending an email to info@receppy.nl; after processing, your data will be erased. Requests from government authorities regarding personal data are handled as described in the privacy policy.
We aim for stable availability of the app, but do not guarantee uninterrupted accessibility. Maintenance and updates may temporarily affect availability.
The app is provided "as is". We are not liable for damage caused by using or being unable to use the app, or by loss of data, except in the case of intent or gross negligence. We are not liable for the content of recipes added or shared by users; that responsibility lies with the user in question.
Regarding recipe content, nutrition and suitability, the limitations in section 4 also apply.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that may not be limited under mandatory law.
We may change these terms and conditions. Changes are published on this page. Continued use after a change counts as acceptance of the new terms.
